The Advocates for the Defendant went on with the Examination of two or three Witnesses to have proved if they could, that their Client was in possession and not Nundoo, but in the opinion of the Court, they fail’d in proving it.
Mr. Tilghman, for the Defendant, again insisted, that the Plaintiff had not proved a Title by twenty years possession, as the Council for Plaintiff insisted it was, for Mr. Tilghman said the Possession of Bulleram, who possessed the Land above Twenty years, could not be connected with the possession of Nundoo who had been in possession, not more than eighteen years.
