Hyde. I think the Limitation of Twenty years very proper to be observed as a General Rule, with such exceptions as when the Cases arise may appear just. The Court on Monday Nov. 9th [see page 200] refused an administration, when only Seven years were elapsed.

An Action of Assault and Imprisonment, with some Counts charging the Defendant with having falsified and alter’d some Papers sign’d by the Plaintiff, and making them Import Confessions of having received Stolen Goods.
No Evidence was given concerning the Papers.
The Plaintiff is brother to Okoor whose cause was tried on Saturday.
Nothing was proved against the Defendant but having acted as Mr. Playdel’s Naib, and having known the Plaintiff was in Custody, and having given the Peons
