1786 4 Term [Tuesday] Oct 31.

Evidence is to be first fairly, and in a strong good hand writing transcribed on Parchment from these Papers, and then authenticated by the Signature of one of the Clerks of the Papers, and afterward re’d in Court that the Judges might know it was right, by having it in their Presence compared with the draught on Paper, before the Judges would certify it under their Seals as the Act of Parliament requires.
