the Plaintiff could not immediately pay the Ten Rupees he had demanded, he was flogged again by the Order of the D. and was confined till by sale of his Brass Pots he raised the Money required and paid it. We have no Count in the Plaint for the Money extorted.
Mr. Tilghman, Examined the first Witness Sepulram Mistry, who proved the Charge very much to the effect stated in the Opening.
Sepulram is the Plaintiff in the next Cause in the Paper, which is against the same Defendant James Creassy for the like Tresspass against him.
Other Witnesses were call’d who spoke to the same effect.
Dam: 200 Sicca Rupees. The other Cause put off.
