the Defendant of which the Defendant had been acquitted by Mr. Goodlad, the Chief of Rungpoor who was ordered by Mr. Hastings to examine the Charges: but nothing being proved for the Defendant, and the Witnesses for the Plaintiff having proved great loss of profit sustain’d by him in consequence of the Acts done by the Defendant here was
