There is anor point of which I contend viz that the Court is not confined to the prime cost of the goods, but will consider the whole of the loss we have sustained by being so long kept out of those goods.

Mr. Dunkin answered to this last point.
Tho’ trover is not for the thing itself but for the damage yet there is not measure of that damage but the val of the goods themselves.
