being published and it being known that the said investment was to be provided under the Controul of the Governor General and Council many persons who for want of an Interest or Connection with the members of the said Board of Trade or for Some other and what Cause were never beforeable to procure a Contract for the provision of Raw Silk did not send in proposals to the said Board of Trade for Contracting to Supply both Filature and Bengal wound Raw Silk nor whether the said proposals being opened and read by the said Board of Trade on the Fifty day of July following or some other and what day it did not ppear that Great numbers of Persons were willing to Contract for Filature raw Silk at Sicca Rupees Eight and eight annas per Seer and Some even so low as Seven Sicca Rupees twelve annas per Seer on the medium of the Filature Raw Silk that is at Sicca Rupees Eight and Eight Annas for the best Sicca Rupees Seven four annas for the Second Sort and Sicca Rupees.
