Of Bengal books, & paper, Which are now produced. At the beck of the bed I found a large Scmiter; which I carried to the garrison and gave to Lieut Dove. I understand, it has since been lost or stolen. I then carried Delany prisoner to the garrison at the berick guard Mr. Dove & I stripped him & searched him. We found two rupees on him & in his belt, some papers & some slugs. I forgot to say that some slugs had been found in a little gag whick is now produced & then lay in one of his trunks. The next day Mr. Dove ordered me to go to Delany’s quarters & there to look over his things. We there found a steel chain, which is now produced.
Note
Serjt Ross being here again examined, swears that the seal, of which he was robbed was marked J. H. & that the chain now produced was also taken from him with his watch
