In 1778 the Committee published a Notice that they would only take the account for One year. The Agent would not give that account, but he gave in an account for Five Years, and soon afterward the Agent for the Complainants was dismissed by the Calcutta Committee, with this answer, that the balances would not be paid.
The Company are charged in the Bill with having taken to themselves the benefit of the advances, then their promisses are for their own debts, not for the Debts of others.
