across his throat to shew that Choora was the Man who cut his throat: That he held up all the fingers of both hands, which he understood to mean that Ten Rupees were taken from him: That Anunderam afterward when Choora was brought to him, made a sign in his presence that Choora was the Man who had cut his throat: That Anunderam also pointed to a Cloth which Choora had on, by which he understood Anunderam meant that Choora had also taken that Cloth from him: That on searching the Prisoner Choora a Purse made of Packthread was produced which was found on him, with Ten Rupees, in it: this Purse Preberam sworn he made and gave to Anunderam, and he knew it by a knot he had made in the string of the Purse. Another Purse with One Rupee and a Cowrie, was also found on the Prisoner.
The Prisoner said in his defence that the Cloth had been given him by the deceased a few days before he died: that the Purse was his own. But Preboram swore that the Purse he gave Choora was the other Purse not now produced, which contain’d
