Subscribing Witness. But there was another Subscribing Witness concerning whom the Court doubted whether there was sufficient proof of endeavor to find him, and that he could not be found, to entitle the Plaintiff to give other Evidence of the Hand Writing.
Of this second Witness it was sworn, that the Subscribing had been left at his House near Houghley, and that the Officer who served it was told the Witness was gone to Calcutta, and no search for him in Calcutta was proved.
But concerning this Witness there was no Decision of the Court, because
