after required to wit at Fort William aforesaid in Bengal aforesaid hath not paid the said sum of Sicca Rupees Twenty three thousnad four hundred and ninety four five annas and six pice to the said Thomas Cotton but hath hitherto entirely refused and still doth refuse to pay the same to the said Thomas Cotton to the Damage of the said Thomas Cotton of Sicca Rupees Twenty thousand therefore he brint suit &c
And the said Alexander Davidson by William Hickey Attorney comes and defends the wrong and Injury when &c. And prays Oyer of the said Writing obligatory in the said Plaint above mentioned and it is read to him &c he likewise prayeth oyer of the Condition of the said writing obligatory and it is read to him in these wrods to wit.
