[ILL] Joachin de Rozario – knows the prisoners since he has been in [prison?] – is a subscribing witness to the Bond and [Warrant?] – Three Bengalees came into Mr. Brampton’s office, Mr. Brampton desired him to explain the Bond & Warrant – he did so – they were executed by one of the Bengalees – he did not know him before – being sent for to Mr. Smoult’s office he was desired to point out from a Number of Bengalees the man who executed the papers he so witnessed – he [said? saw?] not – but solicited five from the number – whose faces he knows – the prosecutor was one of the five – afterwards at Mr. Justice Hyde’s he saw the prosecutor – sayd he could not tell whether he was the man who executed the Bond & [warrant?] – but he thinks because he knew his face that he was the man who [collected?]
