Hyde, at about 8 minutes after Nine.
Chambers, at about half an hour after Ten.
I went on the Bench immediately on coming into the Court House, it having been yesterday agreed between Mr. Justice Chambers and myself that we should both endeavour to be at the Court House at Nine. And then should go into the Court exactly at Nine, but if only One of us was at the Court House at Nine, whoever came first should wait till half an hour [after] Nine for the other, and exactly at half an hour after Nine should go into Court and proceed on business alone.
I first call’d for Mote[ILL], in the usual way of asking for any motions, and then asking whether there were any motions which particularly required to be heard to day. It is a Practice [lately] adopted by the Court, in order that the [causes] may go on, to call first on each [advocate] for one motion, and afterward on [calling each] advocate for any motions which it was [ILL] peculiarly
