I did not sit untill fifteen minutes past Ten, and then call’d first for the Motions to justify Bail, because Mr. Justice Chambers is not yet come, nor have I yet received any message that he does not intend to come. I think it a good general rule to call for all motions to justify Bail at the sitting of the Court, and I intend to propose so doing to Sir Robert chambers. I heard all the Motions for bail, and one or two other common Motions and by the time they were done, my brother Chambers came into Court.
After he came in, Mr. Brix, Advocate for the Paupers, moved in a cause in Ejectment, to set aside a Judgment against the Casual Ejector which had been enter’d by Mr. Gardiner. The Motion was grounded on an affidavit made by Mr. Chambers, Receiver and Reporter of Paupers Petitions, that on
