Mr. Pritchard had been the Company’s Attorney, the Governor-General and Council had refused to pay the Bill sent in by his Executor for business done by him by Order of the Governor-General and Council, respecting the Examination of some Molungees, that is, Salt-Workers: No suit having been commenced the Master could not Tax this Bill, and it’s not being Taxed, was the only reason given why this Bill was not paid.
The Plaintiff proved the Fees paid to the Company’s Advocates in this Case, by a Sircar who paid the Money. it was admitted
