with Costs. The Costs were directed to be liberally Taxed, so that the Plaintiff should not lose in Costs, but not so that he should gain. During this Cause it was said, the Governor-General and Council would not have the Bills of their Attorney Taxed by the Masters of the Court, who are the proper Officers appointed by the Court to Tax the Costs; but they have appointed Mr. Atkinson to Tax their Bills, and give him a good Salary for so doing, and that they pay their Attorney One Third more than Mr. Atkinson allows.
