And afterward it was put on board the Budjro on which Mr. Shearman and I came to Calcutta. Both Mr. Shearman and I were out of the Budjro once during the passage, and no person was left in charge of the box, only the Mangees and Dandees were left on board.
Some Madras goods on which Mr. Dubuisson claimed were brought to Captain Maw's by some black man, but who he was or who sent for him I do not know, Mr. Du Buisson came soon after and said they were his. I kept them till they were carried before Mr. Justice Hyde.

On a Chit written to me by Mr. Shearman I order'd Mr. Dichle the tide waiter to deliver the Cloths he desired. I never saw the things.

Mr. Mackenzie sent me to a chest directed to Lady Clavering, with orders to send it with a box directed to General Clavering. Afterward a Man brought some Madras cloths to the Custom House, Mr. Mackenzie directed me to keep the Cloth till the owner asked for them. Afterward by Mr.
