Character, was very angry with Moore and Lacy when he heard of this agreement, and with the assent of Mr. Saunders, this agreement for the purchase of Mr. Saunders’s share was cancelled. Mr. Moore was only a nominal partner, his share having been sold to Mr. Saunders. Mr. Moore told Mr. Chapman that Mr. Lacey would sell to Mr. Chapman his share in the Partnership and then Mr. Chapman might enter into Partnership with Mr. [Pothero?] alone, of whom Mr. Chapman had a high opinion, of his integrity though the Conduct of Mr. Moore, and the close connection which subsisted between Mr. Moore and Mr. Lacy induced Mr. Chapman to
