whether on the part of the Committee or of President – tho’ not called so he is in effect the native accountant of the Committee, the preparation of all accounts either Persian or Bengally that are to be laid before the Committee is entrusted to him. These are his principal functions but he is consulted generally upon all publick business by Committee.
